On the 25th of September, Tetracore was delighted to launch its inaugural Graduate Management Training (GMT) program as part of its strategy to grow local content development across Nigeria’s gas and power sectors. The ceremony was held at the company’s Head office, in presence of the CEO Olakunle Williams and the management of the company. It welcomed the 12 graduates that were selected over the past few months from an initial pool of 100 candidates. Their training will cover the entire gas and power value chain, renewables energy, innovative energy technology, behavioral and soft skills, and business management skills.
Tetracore’s training program will consist intensive in class sessions, fieldwork to power plants, midstream processing facility and behavioral and soft skills development exercises. Trainees will be integrated into Tetracore’s workforce upon successful completion of the program.
The launch of Tetracore’s graduate training program follows three years of assessing gaps and opportunities within Nigeria’s gas and power sector. Given the company’s extensive engagement with its stakeholders and partners, Tetracore has identified key challenges around the growth of energy supply in Nigeria and the skills and competences required to deliver efficient and sustainable energy solutions to the country.
“Growing Nigeria’s energy sector requires the training of capable, competent, driven, and ambitious Nigerian young professionals. As we expand Tetracore’s footprint and welcome new investors, it is of strategic importance that we develop the skills and the manpower the company needs to deliver its sustainable energy solutions,” CEO Olakunle Williams said.
Tetracore’s GMT program promotes a culture of teamwork and the development of skills within talented Nigerian women and men who share a passion for building Africa’s energy future. The company will be accompanying them and give them a thorough training across the value chain, so they are able to solve some of Nigeria’s most pressing energy challenges around gas, clean energy and power.
The launch of the program is in line with Tetracore’ sustainable strategy which relies in the generation of local value by creating jobs and promoting economic growth across its operating markets. The company will continue to commit to building African capacities and grow its GMT into a world-class training program for the future African energy workforce.
